With the August weather being so nice I decided to head to Buntzen Lake for some great views and a little geocaching.<\/p>\n<p>Yes drinking Dr. Pepper on the trail going up hill does help give you energy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myflytie.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/SAM_6009-Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-373\" title=\"SAM_6009\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myflytie.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/SAM_6009-Medium.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"383\" height=\"271\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once we gained most of our elevation (approx 500m) we got a to enjoy several views along the ridge.\u00a0 There are at least 10 of them and thats why they call it &#8220;Diez Vistas&#8221; Diez in Spanish means 10 and Vistas means views. Ten views.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myflytie.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/SAM_6015-Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-374\" title=\"SAM_6015\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myflytie.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/SAM_6015-Medium.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"384\" height=\"291\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our first geocache of the day. Seymour and it&#8217;s various pumps. We saw lots of boats on Indian Arm and also watched\u00a0two paragliders coasting on the winds nearby.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myflytie.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/SAM_6024-Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-378\" title=\"SAM_6024\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myflytie.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/SAM_6024-Medium.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"383\" height=\"274\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We continued past all 10 vistas and picked up some water at the end of Buntzen Lake. We took the West trail back to the trailhead. 2 small deer ran beside us on the trail for a few minutes. We had our camera&#8217;s ready but missed taking any pictures.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The last few km of the hike seemed to take forever.
